This book was different of the other books I've been reading lately, so I'll try to make of this review something different to honor the book. I'm not going to write about the narrative and the composition, neither I'll talk about the development of the characters and the plot. Forget that. Part of this book was about writing letters, so I'm writing a letter too. But isn't a letter for Life... It's a letter for the author.

Dear Meghan:
I started to read your book, the first one of your books that I've ever read, and forgot about the world around me. It's something good, let me tell you. Words have some kind of power... they let you connect with people (real and ficticious), and their feelings, and i felt that connection with Daisy, Carter, Jace and Hollyn. Your writing is so personal, direct and emotional that's impossible not to feel something. This book was rollercoaster of feelings, and what kind of ride, dude.
I don't like to talk about my personal life very often. I'm a private person and I like to keep my stuff private, but this book opened some doors I thought were closed, so I guess it's time to talk about shit.
In some moments of my life I've been them. I'd was sheltered for my parents as a kid, they were the kind of parents suspecting of everyone and everything. According to them, danger is everywhere. So I was some kind of bubble-girl, as in that movie with Jake Gyllenhaal. But it was wrong..., and when they didn't been with me to protect me I felt vulnerable and lost. When I was in college I felt I had no place, nowhere, and I felt rage... I didn't know how to fix it, how to trust in people, how let them in. It was like I was in the #DearLife program myself. It's funny think about it now... but it wasn't funny at the moment. I finally made some friends and we're like a supporting group, like a brotherhood or a family. Yup, family is the right word to describe us.
Years later, when I lost my dad, I felt numb and broken, the sorrow makes me push my friends and family away from me, like Hollyn. Wrong move, I know. It was a hard moment for me, and some times I feel I haven't recovered yet, but life goes on, right? So, as I was reading your book I found myself crying, remembering and taking every step in this fictional program of yours beside your characters knowing I'm not alone. I have friends to help me get through all this, to cheer me up when I'm down, or take me to a bar to get wasted, lol.
Life isn't easy. Any adventure is easy. And, that's life: an endless andventure. Some days are good, and some others aren't. But that's part of the journey. This novel was about take the risk and live the adventure of being alive. Take our bad days and turn them into good days, and that's a wonderful advice. Thanks for that. Thanks for your book. Thanks for taking a personal experience, your feelings and puting them in the pages of this novel. Thanks for making me connect with your characters through your words. Thanks for being you.

About the Author:
Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if "It's Raining Men" starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.
Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing... enter her first novel, Caught Looking.
Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
