#BookTour CHRISTMAS AT THE CASTLE by Melissa McClone

Hi there everyone! Christmas is coming! This is the time of the year we hope dreams come true, and CHRISTMAS AT THE CASTLE is basically about it.

I was asked to read this book and comment it with you, so I'll be dedicating some lines to this romance novel setted up on a far away kingdom that mix my favorite holiday with my favorite literary genre so, here we go!

In a world full of office-romance novels, we find this modern fairy tale. Kat Parsons met her BFF in a summer camp fifteen years before and now she's attending to her wedding. A royal wedding. In a real castle.

Kat and Sophie had been friends since they were kids, but that easy relationship doesn't extent to Sophie's brother (aka Prince Gill).

Kat and Sophie had been friends since they were kids, but that easy relationship doesn't extend to Sophie's brother (aka Prince Gill). He always was the opposite to "charming" with Kat, but slowly they started to discover things about the other, changing the perception they had about each other.

Maximiliam, Gill's dog, plays an important part in this fairy tale. Because of this dog Gill and Kat had their first (unofficial) date. I loved the interactions of the prince and his dog, because he was projecting himself as a harsh man but Max was his soft spot.

There were moments full of humor, specially in the first interactions between Kat and Gill. He was trying to prove that Kat wasn't a good person, but all his plans bited him in the ass because he doesn't just discovered she was good, but also fell in love with her. The development of the romance between the lead characters was fast and powerful. Theirs is a love that was against all the rules, and The Queen doesn't like it at all. But Gill must choose between duties and love, and Kat must to choose between separate a family and form a new one.

I cried a lot in the final chapters of this book. I know, it's silly, but I really love fairy tales and this wasn't an exception. Christmas at the castle is a lovely read for this season, a romantic fairy tale to dream and sigh narrated in third person, filled with humor and drama, but also with friendship and christmas carols.

You can find this book on Amazon (USA) or AmazonUK, and take a look on the other titles of this series.
