My Review

When I finished reading the first book of this series I was like "OMG, this can be end this way, I need to know what happens now". It was a wicked cliffhanger and I was kinda hating myself after that, 'cause I'm not that into cliffhanger. The series I use to read are mostly standalones... but, that's a different story.

I had to wait for a while, but I've finally discover what happened. Yay!

If you read the book, then you know that at the end the Steel Souls were attending an underground fight. In some point, there was a big riot and everyone had to escape the best way they could. In the confusion, Ramsey ask to his brother, Ruck, to take Sadie back to their HQ. But neither Ruck or Ramsey could anticipate what happened afterward.

Sadie was separated from Ruck and arrested.

This second book started after a big revelation. JJ, the president of the Steel Souls, had a daughter he hadn't see for 20 years, and he's certain Sadie is that daughter.

The lack of information about Ruck and Sadie has Ramsey on edge, and the boys started to make a plan to bring them back. At this point, none of the Steel Souls know who Sadie really is, just Ramsey, JJ and Lia. Then, they received a call from the wolves claiming they trapped Ruck and they want to negociate. Key words: Big, Troubles, Coming.

Sadie, in the other hand, is being hit in the police station, interrogate about her connection with the Steel Souls, and then... Vaughn goes for her. This part was very suspicious to me. How's he knew where she was?

Anyway...

This asshole said to Sadie that the Steel Souls called him and refused to take Sadie back. He said Ramsey didn't like Sadie in his live anymore, and then, he take her to San Francisco. Bad move there, because Ramsey was looking for her and quickly discovered her location. I must to say that, even tough Ramsey is a caveman, I love how far he's willing to go for his woman.

When Sadie is back with the Steel Souls is the moment for the revelations.

Sadie always felt she had no family, no place in the world... she felt she didn't belong anywhere. When she her mom and brother were killed, she was disoriented and lost. Now, she has a new family. Unconventional, savage, passionate and dangerous, but a family anyway.

More secrets are about to be revealed, more danger, death and tears, but also love, trust and... yes! REVENGE!

This book was a wonderful ride. The emotions, the action and the development of the characters hooked me up since the first page and I coudn't put it down till the end. The intrigue, suspense and passionate love scenes were amazing. How the author described the dynamic inside a MC, the family vibe, was lovely. Nikki Groom has surprised me a lot. I wasn't expecting to like this story as much as I did. Now I'm a fan, and I'll wait (not so) patiently for her upcoming books, specially if they're related with this series.
