Hi there! Today I wanted to share with you my thoughts about SEVEN LETTERS by J.P. Monninger, a book I read through Netgalley thanks to the publisher and that's out this week.

This was my first time reading this author, and one the things I loved the most about the experience was to be surprised by the strong narrative voice, the fantastic writing and the story itself. The descriptive level took me to a beautiful place because it wasn’t hard to feel I was there with the characters, witnessing their story unfold. And what a story, my friends.

Kate goes to Ireland to write a thesis and ends up falling deeply and madly in love with Ozzie, and they quickly built a bubble, a little island, around them to keep the world apart from them. But there’s a thing about those “fast and furious” romances, and that’s you don’t really know the person you’re with, his or her past, his or her secrets, what will make him or her smile, and what will break you apart. And Ozzie is one of those persons that doesn’t share his burdens but keep them inside him.

The story was pretty romantic. Heartbreaking for some moments, but beautiful nevertheless. It takes many twists and turns as Kate grows into an adult, also take us on a journey to discover what true love, trust and forgiveness are about. Seven Letters is one of those stories that will keep you turning pages and guessing until the very end. So, if romance is your jam, I definitely recommend giving this book a chance.

My Review:

First time reading this author, and what a wonderful book I found! The story started with a social media post going viral and giving notoriety to a rock band that just broke up.

Those first moments on the story are hilarious! They're pretty authentic, and I enjoyed how the author played with the range of emotions driving the man behind that post and all the things that happened to him.

But this book isn't about social media. It's a romance novel. A sexy, fun, fresh and fabulous romance novel, plus Vaughan's journey to reinvent himself after a disastrous event of his life.

I absolutely adored everything about this book. Every part of the story was made for being loved: the characters, the musical part, the sentimental part... every single bit of it. It felt real to me. The struggles, the bad decisions, facing the consequences, wanting to direct their own lives and failing, finding their voices and wanting them to be heard.

And because of that, I thing a found a new favorite author (just don't tell the others).

My review:

I've been in love with this series since the first book, and that love has only grow story after story. Decidedly by Chance was as great as the other books in the series, and it also became my favorite. Let me explain...

I do love books with smart and strong heroins. Women capable of taking life by the horns and say "fuck it! I'm getting what I want". Hannah is that kind of woman. She's a single lady who wants to start a family but was tired to wait for Mr. Right and decided to used artificial fertilization to get pregnant.

I also love charming, sweet and witty heroes. Like Wes. He may, or may not, have a perfect body, but his heart is pure gold. And he's not one of those guys running away from love. When he realized he was in love with Hannah, he started this plan to win her over... and dude, I was sure it would work, because I was already in love with him.

Decidedly by Chance isn't just a romantic comedy, is also a tale about love, friendship and family. All kinds of family. The ones you're born into and those you choose. This is a great read, fresh, funny, sweet and romantic, with amazing characters and lots of surprises. I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it as much as I did.
