"A TOP 2018 & LIFETIME ROMANCE!" ~Karen, Bookalicious Babes Blog

DETAILS:
TITLE: LEAD ME HOME
SERIES: A Fight for Me Stand-Alone Novel
RELEASE DATE: MAY 7TH, 2018

Fourteen years ago, my life changed forever.

My sister disappeared. That day I was selfish. That day I chose myself over her. And that day, I lost everything.

Including Nikki Walters.

She's the girl I’ve loved my whole life. She’s gorgeous. Caring. Every single thing I’ve ever wanted but denied myself. She was my sister’s best friend, and I destroyed any chance of keeping her.

When her safety is threatened, I have a second chance to do the right thing. But as soon as she moves in, I want her in all the wrong ways.

All it takes is a brush of her hand, and I’m losing all control.

The fire between us is only burning hotter.

But neither of us saw what was coming.

And it just might be Nikki Walters who destroys me in the end.

The highly anticipated sexy, suspenseful stand-alone second-chance romance from NYT Bestselling Author, A.L. Jackson.

My review:

One of the things I’ve enjoyed the most about this series is how the author plays with her reader’s feelings. This time, with Ollie’s book, isn’t the exception. He’s a good man, a good friend, a hard worker… but he also has a heartbreaking past, and since the beginning of this journey I’ve been wishing him his own HEA. Finally the time has come to Ollie to tell his story, and what a story my friends!

But Ollie’s book also brings Nikki’s story, someone who has been in love with him for as long as she remembers. He’s been her biggest crush, but also her biggest heartache; and through this story we got to read about their connection since they were just children, leading up to the tragedy that changed both of them, and all the ways it ripped them apart afterwards.

Nikki is finally done taking a chance on Oliver after all the heartache and broken hopes and she’s ready to move on. After all, Ollie’s not willing to give her what she wants, what she needs.  But when a mysterious threat appears, he knows he'll do anything to protect her, even if it means to face their attraction.

This is the most emotional book in this series so far, and also my favorite. I loved Nikki and Ollie together, how the author built their story and how she played with every single element available to show us their feelings, their fears, their hopes… It was sweet, and devastatingly romantic. Lead Me Home is a touching, thrilling and unforgettable story of loss and pain, but also of love and and heartbreak. It was the perfect conclusion for a extraordinary series that has conquest me from the start.
