The beginning of this story may be unconventional, but it’s the spark
between the characters, that spark, that chemistry, is there since the very
first moment they’re in the same room. That’s one of the things got me glued to
this book as soon as I started to read. The Fall Of Legend is the pretty exciting,
stunningly sexy and deeply emotional, it has twist and turns to surprise you
and will get you asking for more at the end.
Gabriel Legend, the hero, is a little bit different from other
characters I’ve read in the past, but he also has the trademark sexiness and commanding presence of a Meghan March’s lead character. He’s a person who’s trying to escape from
his past and carries the weight of the world upon his shoulders. He’s trying to
make better of himself, investing in a club that’s falling apart, and his only
hope to make it work is Scarlett. He’s desperate, and it’s because of that
desperation that our unconventional beginning happens.
In this book we learn a lot about Scarlett, about her life and thoughts,
about her feelings. She has this public persona, with a “what you see is what
it is” attitude, but she’s not that superficial, so the process of knowing her
more is pretty interesting. Plus, despite the ‘slow burn’ building of the
story, the sexual chemistry between the characters was insane! For real! It was
INSANE!!
I finished my read with a lot of questions and an enormous need to read
more. Now I have to wait until book two to reconnect with these too.
