My review:

Have you ever wanted to read a book so much and then, when you were actually reading it, didn’t want the book to end? Well, that happened to me.

House of Scarlett is fast paced and addictive. I know I said the first book was good, but this one? This one is AWESOME! (Yes, with the capital letters and all). The Fall of Legend was steamy and a little bit crazy, and at the end it left me open-mouthed with that wicked cliffhanger. Then I received House of Scarlett and started to read it right away.

(I may, or may not, have reread Legend to get “in the zone”).

House of Scarlett got me turning pages like crazy even when I tried to slow down a bit to make it last (yup, that’s what he said). I thought Gabe and Scarlett’s chemistry was insane in the first book, but as the story progressed it turned explosive. Things got a hotter and better, and then the book ended and now I need more.

And in case you were wondering... yes, I found another cliffhanger.

At this point you may have notice I’m madly in love with these characters and with the author's writing, and that can’t wait to see what Meghan has under her sleeve for then in the next book.

Side note: The teasers are as AWESOME as the book.

My review:

The beginning of this story may be unconventional, but it’s the spark between the characters, that spark, that chemistry, is there since the very first moment they’re in the same room. That’s one of the things got me glued to this book as soon as I started to read. The Fall Of Legend is the pretty exciting, stunningly sexy and deeply emotional, it has twist and turns to surprise you and will get you asking for more at the end.

Gabriel Legend, the hero, is a little bit different from other characters I’ve read in the past, but he also has the trademark sexiness and commanding presence of a Meghan March’s lead character. He’s a person who’s trying to escape from his past and carries the weight of the world upon his shoulders. He’s trying to make better of himself, investing in a club that’s falling apart, and his only hope to make it work is Scarlett. He’s desperate, and it’s because of that desperation that our unconventional beginning happens.

In this book we learn a lot about Scarlett, about her life and thoughts, about her feelings. She has this public persona, with a “what you see is what it is” attitude, but she’s not that superficial, so the process of knowing her more is pretty interesting. Plus, despite the ‘slow burn’ building of the story, the sexual chemistry between the characters was insane! For real! It was INSANE!!

I finished my read with a lot of questions and an enormous need to read more. Now I have to wait until book two to reconnect with these too.
